Information on Reserving PR Trails
All certified hiking trails (PR – Certified Hiking Trails) in Madeira require an online reservation before the hike begins.
Reservations must be made through the official SIMplifica Madeira platform:
1.
2.
3.
The reservation is valid for a specific check-in date and time.
Access is subject to availability and the maximum capacity set for each route.
Before setting out on a hike, always check the current status of the trail (Open, Restricted, or Closed), as conditions may change due to weather or safety concerns.
Using the route without a valid reservation may result in fines.
4.
The reservation fee is refundable only when the route is officially closed or restricted by the IFCN for safety or operational reasons. In such cases, you may request a date change or a refund of the amount paid.
If a visitor decides not to take the hike for personal reasons—including a change of plans, illness, transportation issues, or unfavorable weather conditions—while the trail remains open, the reservation fee will not be refunded.
