  • At Jaca Porto da Cruz, check-in begins at 3 p.m., and check-out is at 11 a.m.
    Check-in is available until 6 p.m., and in Porto da Cruz, you’ll also find a friendly member of our staff to show you around the house until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., arrivals can use self-check-in at either location. Check-out is automatic at both locations.

  • If you intend to explore the island, yes, we recommend it. There is public transportation, but it is irregular and infrequent, so it may not meet your needs.

  • We are a family-run hostel that focuses on short stays, and we offer fair and competitive prices, so we have decided not to offer special rates for long stays.

  • Item descriptionWe provide lockers in the dormitories of both our hostels - Porto da Cruz and Funchal. One locker per guest. The lockers are not large enough to fit a big backpack, but a small bag with your valuables will easily fit. We provide padlocks, but we have a €10 deposit which is returned as soon as the padlock is returned to us.

  • All your valuables and personal belongings (WITHOUT EXCEPTION) must always be kept in your possession. Although the Hostel provides a locked space for you to store your belongings, it DOES NOT assume any responsibility for them under any circumstances. The GUEST is 100% responsible in all circumstances. There will be no refund or compensation if any goods or valuables are lost during your stay.

  • The minimum stay is two nights.
